Well it's been a long difficult year in that there was a wills variance legal case pending. Two opposing families with different opinions in a declining market and remarkably Caroline was able to stay focused, detach herself from the emotions, and at times defuse hostile situations. I was serving tables at the Vault in Cloverdale on a busy Tuesday when 2 men in my section talked real estate. At the time I was deciding weather to invest with a friend on a duel condo deal. In fact this night was my night to come to a decision. I decide to ask these fellas what they thought.

They whole heartedly did the best convincing they could to have me run away from the deal. What were the odds that these 2 men, one firm owner and the other a partner would be sitting in my section, tonight?? They hardly had any facts to base their decision but.. was this an omen of some sort? I decided that if I pursued this deal and something went wrong I would kick myself for not listening to them. So, I did something I don't often do and I backed out of the deal.

 Turns out my friends lost a lot of money on the deal. It's possible I would have lost my house! Ten years later... Selling my home in Surrey. Not your average home. It is a 74+ year old home that lies on industrial land. My first realtor hung around for a few months, until he got frustrated, gave me ultimatums and spoke to me like a child. So I let him go. I couldn't trust just anyone with my property. I needed someone who knew this market intimately!

 Suddenly I remembered the meeting/ the omen that saved my bacon! I looked up Jeff, he returned my call the very next day AND knew who I was! Jeff brought Caroline to my home along with a bottle of wine and his English humour. Together Caroline & I discovered many hidden mysteries the property had concealed! Eventually our buyer came, in fact there were 2 which brought on a bidding war. Caroline won the war. The cool thing was that she knew just how to deal with the offers that came in and how to protect me. I had businesses looking to take advantage of me with their twisted offers & Caroline knew how to play their game. With her help, I sold my little house on the prairie... LOVED that little farm house, and bought a new one! A cool newish one in a posh area :) Caroline's awesome, she invites me over to her place still, even though business is over lol. If you’re thinking about listing your home and you’re not sure which agent to list with, may I suggest that you list with Caroline. While it might not seem that the listing agent matters, let me tell you – it does.

Not all situations are alike! You may need to sell quickly, you may want to get the highest price even if it takes a bit longer or you might want to do improvements to reduce sales time. Trust Caroline to give you the right information. I listed my home with two other agents before her and neither understood my unique situation.
